ILFORDS Cine Lightening Equipment was conceptualized with the aim of providing unique lighting solutions to those who are engaged in cinematography and photography. Based on our understanding of the importance that perfect lighting plays while handling the camera, we got down to manufacturing of IDL lighting equipment like shooting lights, video lights, spotlights, halogen lights, theater lights, studio lights. Our innovative products have created a stir in the media industry in which light has a pivotal role to play.

This inevitable need compelled us to research and develop our existing range that comprises of lighting support system, lighting support accessory, indoor light system, lighting kit, lighting stand and on board light. In addition to our existing line of IDL lighting equipment, we are making endeavors to launch certain new products as well. These include inverter units that are to be launched recently, remote control that can be operated only by the camera person from his vantage point.

Our unique lighting equipment are the brain child of Mr. I. Joseph who is an experienced Cinematographer. Based on the lighting problems that he noticed during his shoots and the observations about not much advancements being made in this regards, pushed him to come out with the idea of developing IDL lights.

With a keen interest in photography, Mr. Joseph was introduced to the nuances of the industry at an early age. Taking his interest as a profession, he joined the Chennai Film Institute for a formal training in photography. His career in the profession spans for over 22 years, enriching him with the details involved in shooting and the developments that needed to take place.

He did not find the idea of importing good lights very appealing and thought of it as a costly affair. This made him take steps towards coming out with revolutionize the industry with his zeal to develop a cost effective solution here in India. Mr. Joseph designed and developed lights that had the ability to compete with foreign lights at an affordable cost. They were also to be simple and easy to handle and maintain, efficient, energy saver, and portable to carry, even in difficult terrain. After in-depth research and analysis he launched the product in Indian markets, creating an impact instantly. Their popularity resulted in being selected by the respectable firm, AVM Productions that replaced its existing lighting systems with our products. Subsequently, our clientele increased across the country in places like Assam, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai.
